Man I just watched this movie, but daaaamn I never thought it would be so fucking lame, i couldnt even finish it. But I'm not trying to discuss this.

Actually, this movie is a blatant american propaganda movie,(like so many others actually but i'm not spreading myself on that issue). Basically, you've got a dozen of dangerous killers from all around the world on a desert island fighting to death, the survivor winning his freedom.

Now strangely, the only one who is not a real criminal is the American (played by a WWE star that I don't remember the name), he was set up by i dont know who.

But that's not bold enough, not only is the American the least bad guy, he's stronger than anyone else, cleverer, good hearted.

Damn I can't believe that shit. Pure propaganda. Hitler wouldnt have done better, seriously! I mean, even your criminals are better than ours. Fuck it, seriously

But anyway, I just want to know if you americans buy that shit. Did you ever even notice that its *that* pro american? I mean, if a french movie like this ever came out, I would really feel ashamed for my country...

it's not so much propaganda as it is playing on our feelings of nationalism. (propaganda is produced by governments, nationalism is an emotion movie makers use to draw people into the movie more) Most people don't see the nationalism at first--they just watch movies for the action, effects, and sex while silently trying to ignore the larger issues--i dunno. that's how it seems becuz hardly no one talks about world events.
