It was Hall of Fame Weekend once again, lasting from June 6 to June 10, as the International Boxing Hall of Fame, located in tiny Canastota, New York, about 20 minutes east of Syracuse, inducted its Class of 2007.

Included were former multi-division champions Ricardo "Finito" Lopez of Mexico, Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whitaker of the U.S.A., Roberto Duran of Panama ("Manos de Piedras") Argentine trainer/manager Amilcar Brusa (who trained Carlos Monzon and 13 other champions), artist Leroy Neiman (unable to attend due to health problems) and WBC president Jose Sulaiman.

The weather for the weekend was nearly flawless, and with Whitaker and Duran going in, the crowd appeared to be one of the largest since the Hall opened in 1989. The Induction Weekend traditionally takes place ever Thursday - Sunday of June. The ceremony also took time to toll a ten count for the late Diego "Chico" Corrales and Willie Pep. Michael Buffer served as the Grand Marshal.
