Riley: Shaq Should Lose Weight To Help Knee
29th November, 2006 - 9:12 am

Charlotte Observer -
Pat Riley fired the first shot Tuesday in the Battle of Shaq's Bulge. The Heat coach wants Shaquille O'Neal to lose weight to aid his recovery from knee surgery.

"Right now I hope his thought process is that he tries to almost reinvent himself physically," Riley said. "Because this is the first time that he's really had something wrong with his knee to the extent that there's been surgery on it."

Riley said it's important that O'Neal "come back a lot lighter, a lot leaner."

gonna be hard for shaq to shed the pounds riley wants at this point in his career ..he was prolly around 350 b4 the injury n by now is somewhere around 370

cant really get too much lighter than 350 IMO n gett'n leaner is prolly outta the question

cant picture shaq on a treadmill, let alone running ..swimming, pffffft ..he pushes off one side n two strokes later hes on the other side of the pool n shit haha

Remember he lost weight when he first came to Miami. It can be done if he is motivated to do it.

true ..he CAN do it IF hes motivated

or he has the time to allow himself to do it
