http://www.realgmbaseball.com/images/mlb/4.2/wiretap/team/nyy_40.gifFor once, Alex Rodriguez found himself surrounded by media, answering questions about ... praise.

"I kind of feel shy talking about it," the Yankees third baseman said at yesterday's All-Star Game player availability session.

Barry Bonds, the future home run king, anointed A-Rod as the man who someday will own that exalted record. And the controversial Giants slugger showered Rodriguez with public compliments.

"His talent is unbelievable," Bonds said. "I don't think people really appreciate his talent ... His eye-hand coordination, his actual strength, his actual recognition of the ball -- those are things you can't teach. A lot of us have it that are at that level. Some of us can do it better than others, and he's one of them."

Continued Bonds: "It's weird, because I know what he knows, and I can see what he sees. I'm just older and can't do it as often. Willie Mays told me, 'I see what you see. I just can't do it anymore.' It's like with A-Rod. I see what you see, and I know what you're thinking. I just can't do those things as often as you can."

They both can lick my balls, I wish my Yankees would get rid of that career loser.
