But she is going of to boarding school this year (yes, very popular in Denmark) and I asked how long after the start I could sent her a letter, she said a few weeks and I asked if she would get mad if she got one the first day and she didn't really know.

Should I sent one for her to have the first day or should I wait?

I thought it was kinda odd on your part to ask her when should you send it, you should just do it when the fuck you want. You showed your lack of independence and free will just by asking her.
