...i celebrate christmas more as tradition than a religious event.... my fams always done it so its not just about the actual day but the memories also.
i do have a christian backgrond so my folks may feel different, but i see it as an excuse to show love, kindness, and appreciation to my fam...
why dont i choose to do this everyday??
i guess because like life in general they're taken for granted....so christmas provides a day where the family is definitely gon get together and spend some quality time together.
word. what are your thoughts on jesus vexed?

^^i do believe he did exist.... but not the son of 'god'.
my beliefs stem from something more of buddhist and hindi beliefs.... so i dont believe in a 'god', but somethin more like an underlying essence.
So in conclusion seeing i dont believe in god, then i dont believe in jesus bein the son of god...
yourself??
I celebrate....using that word loosely...as tradition not religious...it's just nice to get the family together and share something....I dont believe what christmas stands for really....

personally i believe Jesus could quite possibly be telling the truth about him being the son of god. but then again he could of lied. people were niave back in those times(although people still are). i am not sure i havnt studied christianity enough, but what i do know, the bible is hard to believe
to continue this thread. discuss ur beliefs on jesus ppl

I believe Jesus was the real deal. Too many people try to discredit him for him not to be.
Too many prophecies in the bible that have already came to past and people ignore them too.
Most people don't truly study about Christ and the things he went through. Like people say Christians were the ones who killed all those people during the dark ages I beg to differ. Just like in Islam there has always been different sects in Judaism. It were so called religious people who were trying to kill Jesus. Just like today there are alot of people who come in his image but they don't bear his fruit. Jesus said you would know his followers by their fruit not by their gifts or talents.
People say well Jesus was derived from Oisryus or Apollos (sorry for spelling) Egyptian Gods but they fail to realize that for so many yrs Hebrews/ Children of Israel people live in Egypt during the great Famine of Ramses's time during the days of Jacob, Joesph, Moses, and so on so of course cultures were blended but who is to say that egyptians didn't blend Hebrew beliefs into their own?
The birth of Jesus was predicted through the whole Old Testimony.
I personally believe that a person can't just pick the bible up and completely understand everything. Some things have to be uncovered by the spirit of God but that's a whole nother topic in it's self.

I no longer celebrate Christmas since it origins are strictly PAGAN! As a Christian, I refuse to mix pagan worship and rituals with my belief. You can check out some good information at http://www.crazyworksmedia.com/christmas/
