i aint stress it... if a white rapper used it in the right context i would stress it neither....
if blacks can use it why not others....

i personally stopped sayin it earlier this year.... i heard my baby sis say it n it hit me how much i influence her....so i told her not to use it again n then i stopped usin it on a regular basis....

shit was hard but i did it....

The shit bothers me too. It alway bothered me when Joe said that shit. You think Joe wouldn't be alty if you say him out and he said "what up nigga" and you replied, "what up wet back" or something like that?

I have no problem with Fat Joe, Khaled, Tru Life or even J-love saying it..because they know they're history..if you ever get to talk to them ask them about it..You might learn something...

in addition the only people that actually bothered me saying nigga was the Clipse one time..I was listening to one of their songs and everytime they said it I just cringed...that's when I made a conscious effort to refrain from using it as much as possible..

Clipse are black, why would they bother you over anyone else?

I think it's a time and a place for everything and I think it's a proper time and place to say that word. I don't think anyone should say that word just to be saying it. It ain't cool. Example I'm black (and from the south) but I can't stand when I'm some where around a lot of white people and some young kat will walk up with his friend and be like yo what's up Nigga all lound and shit. Then they have a conversation talking all wreckless and stuff. I'm like I know my little brothers are more intelligent than they appear 2 be or at least I hope they are.

I see nothing wrong with slang as long as it's at the right time. Same breath I see nothing wrong with being proper just as long as it's at the appropriate time and place.

But everyone got to know the rules!!!!

My fav white rapper EDAN has used it

I could care less

in the context of the song ...it would have been wack if he didn't say it

as a fellow writer...I respect and understand why he had to say it

and unlike a lot of so called black people...words don't control me

I agree to the two above statements

I mean, I have made stories where two blacks meet, and it's pretty ordinary that one of them will call the other one nigga, so I wrote that.

just a side note on the nigga vs wetback comment. nigga is used as a term of endearment at times. im not saying everyone does it or agrees on this use of the word, but when it comes to calling someone a wetback it is hardly ever done in an endearing way. there are exceptions to the rule, i mean if one of my boys called me a spic or wet back i let it slide regardless of what race they are but i guarantee that if one of my non-latino friends heard some other cat call me that they would join me in smashing their fucking teeth in. as with n e other word context is key

Good question. I wish I could answer you with some old deep, existentialist shit but the truth is..I'm really not sure..I mean I was raised in the hood with puerto ricans damn near my whole life, so them saying it was never really that deep..ethnically they are the same race as most black people, they just usually speak a dialect of spanish..

I can't call it though, for some reason the lil twang they put on it was irking the hell outta me...which was wild cause Kingdon Come came out around the same time and the song "Trouble' Jay preety much goes in using the word "nigga", yet it has an appeal to it..So I guess it's not what you do, but HOW you do it..

I dont think it's wrong for caribbean hispanic people to use the word nigga....as long as they dont use it in an ignorant way....it has to fit the context of what you're using it for...

The usual argument that a black man will give for using the word is that it's a term of endearment or a way to refer to another person in general. By reserving the word for blacks to use only amongst themselves, doesn't that defeat the idea?
