a little sumin from wiki....
Euthanasia may be conducted with consent - voluntary euthanasia - or without consent - involuntary euthanasia. Since involuntary euthanasia is conducted without an individual's specifically given acquiescence, in the opinion of some this equates involuntary euthanasia to murder. Involuntary euthanasia may be conducted when the person is incapable of making a decision and it is thus left to a proxy. Euthanasia by proxy consent is highly controversial, especially because multiple proxies may claim the authority to decide for the patient
....how yall feel about 'pullin the plug'??

I support it. I think sometimes, it's in the best interests of a person quality of life... Couple of patients I had once were dying of cancer, they couldn't stay awake without being in pain...
Anyway, I think of it like drugs, it should be a choice

Man people do it to dogs every day when they get sick or old. I think it depends the situation like for example if a person is on life support at least give em a sporting chance pull the plug and see if they start breathing on their own before you decide to keep them off of it.
I had an Uncle who suffred from progressive M.S. and he was in so much pain that I watched him beg God to take him , keep in mind he was on alot of Morphine and pain killers. hard to say vexed

I think it's something that's almost necessary.
As long as you have a consent form or some sort of recorded agreement by the person to be euthanized.
I don't see why it's even such a big deal.
@ Albe.. I have MS. It's not really too bad now, but i'm only 25 and i've known that I have it since I was 18. So, by the time i'm like 60, God knows how bad it's going to be and i'd really like to have that option.

It is up to the person. I don't think anybody is in a place there can dictate how a person ends their life.

^^^see but wat if the person is in a situation where they cant choose, they may be in a vegetated state for example....
i understand what your sayin though.... no one should be allowed to decide when another being dies....but prolonging a person from an afterlife might be just as bad.....(for arguements sake)

^^^multiple sclerosis. when broken down etymologically euthanasia is roughly translated to mercy killing. i think if someone is euthanized under that circumstance is fine. i dont know n e of my loved ones who would want to live as vegetables, so pulling the plug on them would not hurt as much as seeing them in that state. if you know they are suffering, then i think its better to end it. now when shit like money and wills gets thrown in the mix, then people disputing that shit should not have a say in euthanizing a person, cuz of the conflict in interests.
If my mother where on life support and was in excruciating pain and was only kept alive by a machine and not by her own natural body...I would authorize euthanasia....I would hate to do it but I would rather have her rest peacefully than be kept alive in pain....it's not natural if a machine is keeping you alive...It's a hard decision to make...i think it all falls down to what is in the best interest of the person who is dying...
