now obviously theres more than one type of love.... theres the love u have for ya fam, n the love u have for ya partner.

but for a long time iv felt that there is no such thing as true love, ...i feel u can be in a long lasting relationship by developing love for a person....rather then that love at first site b/s.

I think of love in terms of, how much would you sacrifice for another individual?

I mean, in that sense, all forms of love are relative. Being in love, or infatuation, I believe is something that wears away with time... and through proximity and compatibility, love can grow from that.

So, going back to "love at first sight", I don't believe in it. I think that infatuation can occur at first sight, but love is something that develops over time and it grows and changes. Even when you are angry at a loved one, you don't stop loving them because the connection is so strong and magnetic.

So, what would you sacrifice for another individual? I would give my life for maybe twenty people: Mom, Dad, nieces, nephew, sister, two ex's, two cousins, and maybe ten of my friends. Those are the people that I love. Everyone else, I just care about to varying degrees.

Now I believe that in an arranged marriage, or any type of situation where two people are thrown together, there is a possibility that love can come of it, but it's not automatic nor is it certain. There are married couples in those types of relationships that have grown to respect each other and even love one another, but it's not that passionate love that we all think about, you know?

I think the phrase "love at first sight" is figurative for most, and that it takes an incredibly superficial person to say that they love someone based on looks alone.

Love is a complex term, but in the end it is a term. A term made by man to identify feelings or emotions. To me, love can be broken into two strands: Conditional, and Unconditional. I would explain more, but im tired, im sure you all can infer the rest.

Love is love man , that phrase makes all kinds of sence to me , Love is going to the same place everyday for lunch because you enjoy the view , love is petting your dog , love is making people smile , I think everything thats good has a bit of love in it , not necesarrily saying if you feed the homeless you love the homeless , but saying that you love doing good things for other people . I think love can be found in any situation imagineable, though it's sometimes a twisted love , it's still love .
