i heard about this yesterday. it is a good fight but i doubt they could fuck with the ufc. they got shit on lock for a while. affliction has some talent on this card but could they consistently put out a product like this at the volume that the ufc does. i know ufc puts out some shitty ppvs sometimes but they load the card. they have so many unannounced fights as filler for when fights dont go the distance that you are bound to see some sick ass ko's and submissions. also if affliction started trying to compete i dont think many ufc fighters would continue to use the gear and affliction would probably not sponsor as many fighters or be able to pay as much for those they do sponsor because they would have to put so much money into their own fighters

true...UFC and ELITEXC have already banned affliction from being sponsored at their events...hence the title of their first MMA card Banned... alot of fighters have recently left the UFC due to money so we'll see competition is always great we'll see how this turns out they've been signing alout of decent fighters...i just read they signed lil nog so i hope it turns out well i love mma either way ufc wec old pride dvds elite xc dream whatever it is ill watch it

yeah. i have the fight network on direct tv and ill watch some ohio state fighting corp shit or something or other and some other mma show they have. also bodog elite xc use to watch pride when i could, k-1 but thats eh. i dont care whose card it is as long as its good but i just dont see them competing. ufc is like the wwf. others could be around for a bit but they wont dethrone them. also ufc may not pay much for fight but you know dana gives winning, best ko, best submission, and best fight bonuses. also fighters earn money through sponsorships. i actually read an article recently about that. ill try to find it

this is a rehash of the article. i still think the ufc should pay their fighters a higher base salary but as it stands now they have the potential to make a good living. also a lot of these dudes have side ventures besides mma or open up their own gyms. im not sure if they get paid when they corner other fighters

faber is a fucking beast. hopefully pulver revives his career. he said fighting penn gave him the hunger to do it again. i like penn and all but i could never understand why he had so much anger when pulver ko'd him. pulver did his job and penn acted like he raped his wife or something

he fell off but he still only lost to 2 ppl in the last 7 years! and they were arguably 2 of the best ever to do it...randy couture and chuck liddel tito did alot for the ufc he helped them blow up i cant wait to watch him elbow machidas face through the floor of the ring
