something about the xbox 360 & ps3 headphones

Im not sure what your saying,

But I only used the ps2 mic and the 360 mic.

The 360 mic can only be used with the 360 online/offline use.
The ps2 mic can be used for online/offline gamming. And you can use it as a pc mic.

Yeah your question isn't very clear. The headset is used for online play basically. It is used to talk to other people. You will only be able to talk to people if your online. So hopefully this answers your question.

Basically the headset is used for communication like a phone.

i'd like to be playing the game at times without having to turn up the television volume,no external sound,want to know if sound comes from the headphone naturally without using it for online gaming,i hope someone understands me this time and come to my rescue,thanks.

Well I never came back to this thread till now. But to answer your question. You will need to plug in headphones to your tv or something.

The headsets for these consoles are used for communication. They are for chatting with friends while playing games. Nothing more, nothing less.

So for what you want you will need regular headphones.

I think I understood what u meant. If you put on the headset on your 360 it only works when you are online and you only hear the voices of the other gamers. You hear no sounds from the game itself.
