Report: Mets Re-Sign "El Duque"
14th November, 2006 - 5:26 pm

Yahoo.com - "El Duque" never got his chance to pitch a postseason game in a Mets uniform. The Mets hope to give him another crack.

Newsday reported Tuesday on its web site that the Mets have agreed with Cuban righthander Orlando Hernandez on a two-year contract worth $11 million.

i think its a decent move, but spent way too much money for him. dude is really like 50 but says he is 40 or whatever. i think they should of tried to get Mussina or another veteran to compliment glavine (who they better resign soon) and pedro.

they need to save money for a schmidt or a zito. i think glavine is gone and pedro is out half the year. we need pitching. some young or mid career pitching
